Also, I am not in the core demographics of "12-25 years old".
But another reason... a very frustrating reason for me... is that the few times I try do something in myspace I inevitably get to this page, which has to be the #1 page in myspace, and quite honestly has to be a contender for the #1 page on the Internet.

Now I get that they are the #1 fastest growing site on the net. I get that the competition is coming on strong from Facebook and others. I also realize (but don't understand) that they went too long with a boring old school interface and are trying to catch up to the Web 2.0 world.
But damn, considering the site was purchased for a $580 million, the basic functionality should work more than be broke!!
I am lucky to do an "Action" item a few times a month (comment, message, photos) and it seems WAY too often time I end up on the most popular page in America.
This evening, I uploaded a new profile pic. No sweat. Worked well with the newly upgraded interface.
Then I wanted to set the image as default. Its one button click, and then an "Ok, ya sure" prompt. Then nothing

No wonder Facebook is catching up!!!! I've never even used Facebook, but I just know it has to function better than this!!!
Myspace should have a team of 200 people whose only purpose is to keep things chugging. No coding for them. No enhancements. No market research. Just make sure whatever you have, works!

Facebook is FAR superior to MySpace, in terms of technical capabilities, lack of bugs, etc. The main reason I have a MySpace is because it's just about the only way some people I know communicate, so if I didn't use it, I'd never speak to them again! :)
